At Mediaelx Web Design we want to share with you interesting information that has been recently published by several media, which talks about the results of a market research released by DigitasLBi (global marketing agency).

The market research focuses on the current consumer´s behaviour, considering a total of 12 countries. Some of the most important conclusions reached by the research are the increasingly role of smartphones and other mobile devices in the purchasing habits. In fact, sales through these devices have grown in a very relevant way, and experts are starting to talk about "m-commerce".

Two are the most interesting behaviour patterns detected by DigitasLBi between those who buy regularly by mobile devices. Firstly, the so called showrooming, that consists to visit the physical store to assess directly the characteristics of the desired item, but purchasing online later. Thus, many buyers prefer to evaluate personally the product, but buy it online for a better price.

However, the most remarkable behaviour (recognized by up to 88% of respondents) is called ROPO (Research Online, Purchase Offline). This practice is based in searching information about the product online, but buying traditionally on store. In this case, the online store acts as a virtual showcase for those internet users who still preferring the conventional purchase process.

This information shows the importance of having a responsive website for your business, in order to provide adapted information about your products for navigation with mobile devices.
