Success Story: Aligning Website and Sales Strategy for Alicante Spain Properties
Is your website out of sync with your sales strategy? It might sound like a contradiction… but it happens more often than you’d think.
You know exactly where you want to sell: Alicante and its surroundings. You invest time, money and effort in listing properties and new developments in that area. But when a potential client visits your website, they see something else: properties outside your target area, outdated listings or developments that don’t match your main business focus.
This is exactly what we discovered during one of our consultancy services for Alicante Spain Properties, a real estate portal specialising in Costa Blanca.
A silent problem: when your website doesn’t represent your strategy
At first glance, everything looked fine: published properties, active developments, a complete menu with several sections… but there was a deeper mismatch that was impacting results.
During the audit, we found that:
- The featured properties on the homepage were not located in Alicante or its immediate area
- The most important developments were hidden in less visible sections
- Some menu items led to areas that were not commercially relevant
- The user journey didn’t make it easy to reach what the agency actually wanted to sell
In addition, although the client also worked in other regions such as Costa Cálida and Costa del Sol (which is perfectly valid and positive), the website gave more visibility to these secondary areas than to their main strategic focus: Alicante and its surroundings.

The solution: reorganising the website structure to better focus the sales strategy
At Mediaelx, we implemented a strategic action plan to align the visible content of the website with the client’s commercial objectives.
1. We reorganised the homepage
We manually selected properties in the Alicante area and placed them as featured listings. From the very first glance, visitors could clearly identify the agency’s main area of activity. The online image now spoke the same language as the business strategy.
2. We restructured the Developments section
We identified the most competitive developments with the highest number of units in Alicante and placed them front and centre, giving them the prominence they deserved. Meanwhile, developments in secondary areas such as Costa Cálida or Costa del Sol—although still relevant—were moved further down, keeping the focus where it truly matters.

3. We redesigned navigation with a commercial logic
We reorganised the main menu and quick links to guide users directly to the priority areas. In addition, we added a dedicated submenu within the Developments section that allows filtering by area in a clear and visual way. Everything was aligned with the client’s commercial goals, making navigation smoother and more effective.
4. We improved user experience and conversion
We simplified the browsing flow by reducing unnecessary clicks and removing distracting elements. The new layout allows users to find key properties faster, increases time on page, and boosts conversion rates through a more direct and purposeful experience.

Why does this work?
Because a real estate website is not an endless catalogue — it’s a commercial showcase. It should highlight what you need to sell first. When the visible content of your website reflects your business priorities:
✅ You gain visibility in the areas that really matter
✅ You strengthen your position as a local expert
✅ You improve user experience and trust
✅ You generate more qualified leads
And the best part: you don’t need to rebuild your entire site — just apply strategic changes.

A website should reflect what you want to sell — and help you achieve it.
It’s not enough to have a beautiful website or a large property catalogue. It must be strategically designed around your business goals. That’s where a specialised consultancy can make all the difference.
Do you know which areas or developments you want to prioritise this quarter? Then your website should make that clear from the very first page. And if it’s not doing that yet, it’s time to optimise.
